I have had this disposer for a number of years and will never go back to anything else. It's amazing and powers through just about everything. Highly recommend it and you get what you pay for these days!

After Hurricane Harvey we had to replace all our appliances and went with all KitchenAid. We have had disposers in the past but this KitchenAid Food Waste Disposer is extra quiet, fast and efficient. Love it!

We just purchased this 1 hp disposer. Not sure if this is damaged or not. The Disposer does not start immediately, there is a brief hesitation, the blades will reverse on their own! there does not appear to be anything stuck in there but hoping that I can get the answers to these questions... I have a total Kitchenaid kitchen and everything so far if GREAT!

It's broken upon arrival

We ordered one for our kitchen renovation and the product didn't work upon installation. We checked the electricity, and even replaced it with the old one, and could confirm everything was fine but this product. It's very disappointing as we could not install faucet until this one got fixed, and the customer service could not get a technician to come to investigate until four days later - By when our contractor will already be gone. Even I described our situation, the customer service still said there's nothing they could do. Like it's just your bad luck to get an out-of-order product. This is very frustrating and my suggestion is DON'T BUY this disposer!

I bought this to replace a very noisy 1/2 horsepower unit. The disposer met my expectations with respect to both its sound insulation and grinding efficiency. Although relatively expensive, it was well worth the cost. We're very happy with this purchase.

I bought KCDS100T thinking that 1-Horsepower may be a bit noisy for but surprising enough it's quite and does a great job cleaning up the mess. I would definitely recommend this disposal.

I've only been using this Disposer for a few weeks but so far it is working great. My mother recently bought a different brand and she has had trouble with the water not going down her sink. Plus the drain plug on hers has a rubber stopper where food can get trapped and smell. Mine is made differently and all is good! My old disposer actually was still working after 28 years of use so when I renovated my kitchen I bought another Kitchenaid disposer. Love it so far!

Very happy with this product. We replaced a leaking unit that I considered to be quiet. This product is significantly quieter. The installation was simple and straight forward. It does what it was advertised to do and it does it quietly.

Quiet and vibration free to the point of wondering if it is really running. Had it for about 2 months now and still am amazed how quietly it works. Maybe a few bucks more than other 1 HP alternatives, but worth it... cant imagine that anything works better!

I'm extremely glad I stepped up to the heavy duty high end garbage disposal. This machine handles all our food waste, but it manages to do it QUIETLY! Relative to any other garbage disposal I've ever used, this is by far the quietest.

Quiet Disposer, works well! In the kitchen this is one of those appliances that if you don't notice a loud sound or bad vibration then it is a good product. I have not noticed this appliance since i took it out of the box and installed it. Great product thanks for going unnoticed in my kitchen!

This is a very quiet disposer and does really grind up the food. The only problem I have with it is the rubber slash guard. It seems to impede the water too much and the water will back up into the sink. I have to push the rubber down a little to get it to drain and hate doing this while the disposer is running.

I love the performance of this garbage disposal. It really grinds up the food and is extremely quiet while doing so. Sometimes it is so quiet that I almost can't tell that it is even running. If you want a disposal that you can get rid of your food without a lot of noise this is the product you want to purchase.
